Overnight Success For Shop Manager Jordan

Overnight Success

After a busy weekend in the shop, i managed to sneak a quick overnighter in on my sydicate, i turn't up with just enough time to get my rods and bait out before it got dark. I know the lake well and within no time i had the rigs on the spots with a scattering of boilies over the top.

As the sun went down i was full of confidence, it looked awesome for a bite or two. There was only one other angler on the lake, who was down in the shallows. He had been there 2 days and not had anything, or seen anything.

2am come and my right hand Slix Bobbin rose to the rod and my siren sang, after a 15 minute battle up popped a nice chunky common weighing 28lb 2oz. Happy days.. :-)

I popped her in the sack for some morning photos, then topped up the swim with 1/2 a kilo of fresh Nash Boilies, flicked the rod back out and felt a nice gentle "thud" which was me happy that i was fishing on the front edge of the bar "just where the Silt and gravel meet"

4am come and the middle siren sang, this time only a small common about 12lb, but still more than welcome, just as i was putting it back the right hand rod went again but unfortunately by the time i got on it the fish had got into a think weed bed and got rid of the hook.

8.30am come and back off to work i went..

overall a great overnight session for the start/middle of March and i am looking forward to doing more in the near future..
